Third Sunday of Lent

It is always good to be reminded and to be warned if we're truly bearing fruits or not- the fruits of love, peace and joy; and, whether we're coming closer or farther away from realizing who we really are- God's beloved; lest we forget, drift away from the Absolute Truth and instead allow  this world, the relative truths in it, to overwhelm and to overtake us. On the Third Sunday of Lent, listen to Jesus as he retell the parable of the fig tree.

And he told them this parable:
“There once was a person who had a fig tree planted in his orchard, and when he came in search of fruit on it but found none, he said to the gardener, ‘For three years now I have come in search of fruit on this fig tree but have found none. So cut it down. Why should it exhaust the soil?’He said to him in reply, ‘Sir, leave it for this year also, and I shall cultivate the ground around it and fertilize it; it may bear fruit in the future. If not you can cut it down.’” Lk 13:6-9

Let us cultivate our grounds and be connected to the only Source so that His Spirit within can bear fruits through us. Then, we won't be cut down and bearing more fruits . . . others may also live through us.
